I’m not willing to find out for sure, but I have a bad feeling that in the last week I’ve gone through 3 tubs of sour cream. It’s time to shrug off those bad habits and start living a life we actually want to live. No more waking up with bad hangovers or eating comfort food in the evening.
Here’s a checklist of things we should prioritize, I’m going to leave out things like “stop eating 3 tubs of sour cream a week” because I respect your intelligence.
If you aren’t motivated enough for the gym, that’s fine. Not everyone has the money or the time for that business. But according to research people who work an eight-hour day and spend most of that time sitting, should spend at least one hour each day moving. If you are very lucky and for some reason only work a six hour day, you should spend half an hour per day exercising. Best of all, the research also found that the exercise doesn’t have to be intense or in a single block – it can be as simple as taking a ten minute walk a few times a day.
Start Your Meal with a glass of water
You hydrate and also instantly feel fuller, stopping you from immediately overeating the meal you’re about to get cracking on.
AKA, get enough sleep. Studies have found that sleep deprivation is linked to a number of health issues and has been proven to increase appetite and make it harder for sleep deprived people to maintain a healthy weight. Ideally most adults should be getting 7-9 hours of sleep every night. If you’re only going to adopt one healthy habit this year, get your sleep schedule on track.
On top of that, when you sleep your immune system releases proteins called cytokines. They help sleep as well as bringing down inflimations and infections. Crytokine levels drop when you get a lack of sleep. So make sure you’re getting enough!
On top of that Propolis has well-known antioxidant properties to maintain a healthy immune system. Comvita Propolis Oral Spray Extra Strength 20ml contains a special blend of high quality Propolis and UMF 10+ Manuka Honey and essential oils formulated for oral health and hygiene.
Cut Down on Coffee
This onOkay, I know this is one thing that nobody, including myself, wants to hear, but coffee really isn’t doing your health a whole lot of good. One cup of coffee will basically leave you wired all day, speed up your heart rate and if you are stressed or anxious, it will only make you feel even more on edge. I’m not saying that you have to ditch coffee entirely, but if you find yourself drinking multiple cups of coffee every day it may be time to think about cutting down.
Cut The Fat
It’s been ingrained in our brains that the best way to shed those pounds is to the cut out the carbs since the Atkins diet in 1972 to the Paleo way that surrounds us today. Of course, cutting out carbs will most definitely burn fat, however, it’s not the most efficient method.
A new study concluded that dietary fat restriction resulted in more body fat loss than carbohydrate restriction in people with obesity. The experiment involved testing 19 adults with obesity in a metabolic ward for two 2-week periods.
It’s not to suggest that you should cut out all fats, including healthy unsaturated fats, it simply shows that cutting fat is the most effective way to reduce overall body fat percentage.
