when hunger strikes you’ll get the urge to eat, as is natural, and if you don’t then you get grumpy and short tempered. If this has ever happened to you (or if you’ve been on the receiving end of this like I have) then you know what “hanger” is all about. Hangry is the amalgamation of Hungry and angry, and it’s a real thing.
When you eat your food gets broken up into simple sugars, amino acids and free fatty acids.
After your body is done absorbing all these nutrients your brain begins to freak out when blood glucose levels drop as a survival instinct.
Lower blood glucose levels makes it harder to concentrate or hold to socially accepted norms. Also it makes decision making harder, which is completely counter productive to deciding where to eat. Just pick something! Sorry. I’ve got a lot of built up stress about this.
