You remember those tough but delicious little toffee bars that you’d rush down to get from the dairy? Well they’re still there, but they’re about to be accompanied by a brand new Whittaker’s chocolate slab.
The new bars are hitting stores on Monday, and you’ll be able to choose from raspberry, pineapple and lime flavours. This leaves out the other K-Bar flavours Orange, Blackberry & Lemon. I was a solid raspberry and lime guy myself anyway, so no worries there.
While the raspberry flavour is 72% dairy-free dark ghana chocolate, the Raspberry K Bar filling is not. So unfortunately this block is not suitable for anyone who needs to avoid dairy completely. The other two flavours are both regular milk chocolate.
Unlike the original K-Bars which would rip your teeth out if you tried to hard the K Bar Blocks have a “smooth filling that is true to the original K Bar flavours without the jaw-breaking effect.”
The great thing about K Bars is that if you sucked them long enough they’d grow super sharp and become a sort of schoolyard shiv.
Sort of sounds like they’ve taken the fun out of it a little bit. The great thing about K Bars is that if you sucked them long enough they’d grow super sharp and become a sort of schoolyard shiv. The Whittaker’s crew have however been trialing a lot of different styles of delivering the class K Bar taste “We experimented with different ways to interpret the K Bar in chocolate from kibbled K Bar in chocolate through to where we have ended up with a smooth filled product that’s true to the original K Bar flavours”.
“During the development of our delicious Raspberry K Bar Block we found that the bitterness of Dark Ghana chocolate worked best with the sweet Raspberry K Bar filling. We also know that many of our Chocolate Lovers are fans of dark chocolate so we wanted to make sure there was something for everyone”
Just by the way, you can get a 45 pack of K-Bars for just 20 bucks from Mighty Ape if you were in the mood to completely shatter your teeth.
