We’ve all heard it before – breakfast is the most important meal of the day. There’s no point busting your gut at the gym, cutting calories and skipping sweets if you are not getting a good breakfast. Follow these three simple breakfast rules to make sure that you are getting the best possible start to the day.
1. Watch your portion sizes
While it’s important to eat a decent breakfast, eating too much in the morning will simply mean that you are consuming more calories than you need. Warning – ‘healthy’ breakfast foods such as muesli may contain far more calories than you would expect.
