It seems like every celebrity in Hollywood is pregnant right now. From Lauren Conrad to Beyoncé, there are a whole lot of baby bumps gracing our screens right now and we are totally loving it. Taking maternity style to the next level, Amal Clooney attended the César Awards in Paris in a Versace gown that is unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.
Stepping out alongside hubby George, Amal wore a custom Atelier Versace couture gown that looks simple at the top, but at the bottom things start to get exciting. Towards the bottom of the gown, grey and black ombre feathers extend to the end of the dress, making for a stunning and flattering style.
The mum-to-be accessorised with statement earrings, and a simple white clutch, leaving the gown as the real highlight of the outfit. Channeling a touch of Old Hollywood glam, Amal’s hair was swept in dramatic curls and she wore a bold red lip.
The news of Amal’s pregnancy broke back in January, with InTouch exclusively announcing that Amal (39) and George (55) are expecting twins. Reports have suggested that the couple struggled to fall pregnant and turned to IVF to help with their conception.
Earlier this month it was confirmed that Amal is due in June and soon after George’s mother, Nina, let slip the sex of the incoming arrivals: a boy and a girl.
Additionally, Matt Damon also opened up about the twins, telling ET Canada: “I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him. And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks’.”
“I’m thrilled for him. She’s amazing. He hit the jackpot. Just on every level. She is a remarkable woman. They’re gonna be great. They’re gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky.”
