The Bachelor NZ has to be one of the nation’s collective guilty pleasures. We all know it’s pretty crap, but at the same time we really just can’t help ourselves from getting on the bandwagon.
Sadly, one of our favourite bachelorettes has announced that she has broken things off with her boyfriend, leaving us hopeful that she will soon find true love. Bachelor contestant Shari Flavell has sadly broken up with The Block winner Sam Cable, marking the end of their inter-reality show romance.
Speaking with Fairfax, Cable explained that the couple ended on positive terms, however their schedules made it difficult to make the relationship work. “She’s lovely, but we’re not seeing each other anymore,” Cable explained, adding that they were still friends.
The couple’s romance sparked after Cable revealed his interest in Flavell in a live chat earlier this year, confessing that Flavell was his celebrity crush.
“Shari, if you’re listening, my name is Sam and I’m from The Block NZ. If we could just have a hug at some stage, then let’s get that set up?” It seems that Shari was listening and the couple dated happily until recently.
Shari competed in season two of The Bachelor NZ, however she did not make the final. The star caused a stir after she was spotted hanging out with bachelor Jordan Mauger just days after he broke things off with the season winner, Fleur Verhoeven.
With Jordan Mauger recently announcing that he has finally found true love, we hope that Shari will be lucky enough to find her special someone soon too.
