It’s the biggest night of the year for the music industry and it brought together artists from all backgrounds and genres. The 2017 Grammys were one for the books and true to form, the entire population of the internet seems to be talking about what went down at the awards.
Notable mentions from the 2017 Grammys include Adele dedicating her Grammy for Album of the Year to Beyoncé, Chance the Rapper surprising fans to win Best Rap Album and Best New Artist and of course Beyoncé’s incredible performance that left the music industry speechless.
While there was a lot going on, Demi Lovato really caught our eye with her stunning red carpet style that featured a natural, yet very beautiful makeup look. To help us all to steal Demi’s look Lisa Matson, L’Oréal Paris New Zealand Makeup Director, gave us the rundown on how to create this stunning look at home.
“Start by priming skin with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Matte Primer, then use L’Oréal Paris Infallible Total Cover Concealer Palette and Foundation for foolproof cover of any imperfection.”
“Next lighten the centre of your face including bridge of nose and middle of chin, using L’Oréal Paris True Match Concealer, in a shade two to three tones lighter than your foundation.
Tip: blend concealer with a brush using a patting motion to achieve the best coverage. Use a wiping motion to blend edges and remove any excess product.”
“Subtly contour sides of face and nose, then create stronger definition under cheekbones and at the temples with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Sculpt Palette or Glam Bronze La Terra.”
“Shape and fill brows with the L’Oréal Paris Brow Artist Maker.”
“Create Demi’s chocolate smoky eyes with L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Les Ombres Quad Eyeshadow in Absolute Taupe. Apply the medium taupe shade over the entire lid, blending it out past the eye crease. Then blend the dark taupe shade along the top and bottom lash line, adding more depth and thickness to the outer corners and highlight the brow bone with the lightest eye shadow shade.
Tip: avoid eye shadow fall out and annoying smudges, by applying your makeup base after you’ve done your smokey eyes.”
“Finish eyes off with an intense black eyeliner like L’Oreal Paris SuperLiner Gel Intenza, along the roots of lash line top and bottom, and inner water rim, followed by two to three layers of L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Feline mascara.
Tip: for full long lash results, place mascara wand as close to the roots as possible and wiggle wand in a zig-zag motion up to the tips, fanning lashes as you go.”
“Lastly apply L’Oréal Paris Infallible Sexy Balm in Gossip for Demi’s pale nude look.”
