Annie says the the best way to re-hydrate when you are hung over is to drink coconut water as it is both natural and super hydrating. “Not only are you dehydrated, you’ve also lost electrolytes. Replenish the salt and potassium you’ve lost with coconut water and stay away from sports drinks that also pack lots of added sugar you don’t need when you already feel like crap,” says Annie.
4. Eat the right foods
Ditch the burger and fries and instead, “eat liver supporting foods. Vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts contain enzymes that promote liver detoxification. Similarly lemon water with apple cider vinegar is a wonderful liver flusher. By helping your liver detoxify, you speed up the recovery process and get back to feeling normal quicker,” says Annie.
5. Replenish your vitamins
“Take a prenatal multivitamin. Alcohol depletes vitamins and you are probably low in hangover reducing B vitamins, Vitamin C, and magnesium. Replenish your stores with a prenatal multi as they are usually packed with higher doses of these important nutrients.”
