With traditional brow and lash tinting set to become illegal in the U.S. due to the harmful coal tar that it contains, beauty lovers are scrambling to find new, safer ways to get their tint on.
One very smart beauty blogger named Jennifer Chiu has found the ultimate DIY way to tint your brows, and the good news is that it uses two of your favourite things – coffee and chocolate!
So how is it done?
1. Take two tablespoons of mixed coffee grounds and add cocoa powder to lighten the mixture to your desired tint. Mix well.
2. To make sure that the mixture stays on your brows and doesn’t fall off, add coconut oil and honey to the mixture to create a liquid consistency.
3. Brush the mixture through your brows with a spoolie or brow brush. Be careful to only apply the mixture to areas that you actually want to tint, otherwise you may risk having a very oddly stained face.
4. Allow the mixture to sit for 20 minutes before washing off and then BAM. Hello, perfect brows.
