The results are in- and the most beautiful country in the world has been named. This year, New Zealand came in at a very respectable third place, but we wee ultimately beaten by the rolling hills and countryside of Scotland.
A poll created by travel experts, Rough Guide, saw users of the site vote for their top pick. It’s no secret that Scotland has some truly stunning scenery – from castles, to lochs, to wild beaches. But if you haven’t thought of Scotland as a holiday destination before it may be time to.
While we may not have taken out that number one spot Rough Guide did praise New Zealand for “its rolling hills, majestic mountains, breathtaking fjords, and amazing diversity from one island to the next”. Oh shucks.
Here’s the countries that made the top 5:

This new photo opportunity at Humber Bay Park East is already very popular! 📷: @alexandramack22 📍: @seetorontonow, @OntarioTravel #ExploreCanada . Votre attention svp! 📷: @alexandramack22 📍: @seetorontonow, @OntarioTravel #SeeTorontoNow #DiscoverON
