Ashley Graham is a plus-size model and body activist who has made a swimwear collection. She created the collection for the online shop swimsuits for all. The collection has been named Ashley Graham X Swimsuits For All, and it aims to celebrate the diversity of women.
Ashley Graham landed her first spread in Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue in 2015. This made her the first plus-size model to ever feature in a SI ad campaign. One year later she made the cover of The Swimsuit Issue .
Ashley Graham posed alongside non-models in the photographs, which have now been featured in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue . Local women are used to represent different body shapes, ages, and ethnicity. Most Noteworthy is that this marks the first time that Sports Illustrated has featured everyday ladies in their swimsuit issue.
Promotional photographs and video for the campaign were shot on the streets of San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was created as part of the “every body, every age, every beautiful” ad campaign. The campaign aims to celebrate the diversity of our bodies. The colourful and bright images prove that everybody can look good in a swimsuit. These ladies looking happy and confident are proof of that.
The swimwear is all inspired by Puerto Rico and island atmosphere. The collection features a lot of bold patterns to choose from. Many different styles are also available from bikinis, to one-pieces. Along with high-waisted briefs and necklines that plunge. With sizes that range from a US size 6 to 22 it also offers a larger range of sizing than many other shops. The collection aims to create swimwear that everyone will feel comfortable in.
Ashley Graham is already of to a killer start this year. She was featured on the cover of Vogue alongside models Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. This cover also made Ashley the first plus-size model ever to land a cover on Vogue. This lady is has been changing up the fashion industry and we’re loving every second of it!
