Pink Tequila Is Officially A Thing And We Need It

We’ve had pink chocolate and blue wine – and now there’s pink tequila! This new drink is created by Codigo 1530 and is called Rosa tequila.

Summer’s not over yet…and to keep it going deliciously strong, @amusesociety made a cocktail to share. 1 cup Código 1530 Rosa Tequila 1 bottle rosé 1 cup fresh lime juice 1/3-2/3 cup agave nectar 2 cups fresh strawberries 1 cup sliced peaches 1 cup fresh blueberries 1 cup fresh pitted cherries 2-3 limes Top with sparkling water Garnish with basil

There’s something very exciting about drinks that are a different colour than they normally would be. It’s a great drink to have on hand for parties and events, or as a gift to anyone who loves all things pink.

We love relaxing at the end of the day with a glass or two of rose and as Summer is well on the way this is the perfect drink for the warmer months.

How do they make pink tequila?

The tequila used is originally white and the pink tequila takes its colour from wine. The tequila is rested for a month in Napa Valley Cabernet wine barrels. The end result, is pink coloured tequila that also has a few soft floral notes similar to the ones found in a Cabernet. This combination makes it both tasty AND pretty.
