As the beauty editor, I’m constantly inundated (not a complaint) with a tonne of new products that are released left right and center. I get to try out a lot of cosmetics that would usually cost my arm and both legs if I were to purchase everything. I am a very lazy person and I’m trying all sorts of stuff so that I can roll out of bed and have naturally glowing skin. The procedures I have planned will all be revealed soon. In the mean time, makeup is a good solution to enhance what I like and hide what I don’t like.
To be honest, it’s really hard to be a conscious consumer but I’ve started converting my go-to items for cruelty-free products that are natural and free of anything nasty – I don’t want to die from the accumulation of chemicals. It’s an added bonus if it’s certified organic too. After reading what happens to our bodies when we switch to natural products, I’ve been trying to slowly convert.
I usually mix a pink illuminating primer and BB cream to create that natural, glowing, dewy look as a base during the day. Today, I went for a liquid mineral foundation which has good coverage – everyone needs one of these – and is cruelty free, paraben free and dermatologically tested for sensitive skin and certified organic by ECOSMETICA. It’s a good solution for everyone.
Note: I’m not a professional makeup artist, I’m just a girl who really likes makeup and finding what works with my ever-changing face.
