1. Break a sweat everyday.
Get at least 20 minutes of a sweat-breaking activity every day. Go for a walk, jog around the block or have a dance in your living room: every little bit counts!
Kate’s been a fan of it for 15 years. Pilates lengthens and strengthens the body by focusing on small muscles with repetition.
3. Have fun
Keep your workout interesting so that you don’t get bored. Bring a friend to the gym or hit the trail outside.
4. Fats and Antioxidants
Keep a stash of super foods like sesame seeds, olive oil, avocados, leafy greens, veggies and nuts that are loaded with healthy fats and nutrients to fuel yourself.
5. Don’t restrict yourself
Eat what you crave, treat yourself from time to time – just be mindful of your meal choices the rest of the day. Moderation is key.
6. Drink lots of water
This piece of advice couldn’t be stressed enough. Fruit juice and soda are loaded with empty calories and sugar – opt for a glass of water instead.
