In case you missed it, former Hills star Audrina Patridge gave birth to a baby girl last week and nailed the original name-game.
Her daugher Kirra Max Bohan was born on the 24th June and Audrina wrote on her blog that “she hasn’t stopped staring since she arrived.”
The new mum shared the interesting journey that was naming their daughter, something all new mums can probably relate to.
“One thing I learned about baby naming is you have to say the names out loud! I have loved the name Kirra for a while now, and when I read my top 3 names to Corey, he loved it, too!”
Luckily this couple had an easy baby-naming journey, one that also honours a very important family member.
While Kirra is also the name of an amazing spot in Australia, it was her middle name that has the most touching meaning.
“Max — we named her after my grandpa, Max, who unfortunately passed away about a month ago. She was due on his birthday, and he couldn’t wait to meet her. He would have been so proud… I love and miss him so much. I know she would have melted his heart, as she’s done to mine, and I would do anything to have them meet, even if its just for a brief moment.”
The new family are keeping media appearances low, with a photo of just Kirra’s feet gracing social media and it is likely to stay this way for a while.
“As far as photos go, we will post soon. Until then, we appreciate your respect in allowing us to enjoy these special moments with our daughter in private.”
Enjoying being a new mum with the papparazzi and fans following your every move is a struggle, but seems these parents are giving it a good go!
