Let’s be honest, since sneakers became the next big thing we have pushed our heels to the back of the wardrobe and reserved them for must-wear-heel occasions only.
While they make our legs and butt look good and seem to give us a little extra swagger in our walk, heels are also ridiculously uncomfortable. All that pressure on the balls of our feet and our toes rubbing against the straps, the the thought makes me mentally push my heels further into my wardrobe.
There is however a solution. Viola Davis was at the Screen Actors Guild Awards Red Carpet (an event which seems to be pretty up there in terms of must-wear-heels) and she shared with E! News‘ Giuliana Rancic that she had a secret to braving the heels.
“So far it’s tame—my feet are ok. I sprayed a little thing on my toe to numb my pain. I got it online,” she said.
The spray is called Still Standing and it is incredibly affordable and is currently on back order due to overwhelming demand, I am not surprised.
It promised to prevent any “swelling, redness or pain BEFORE it starts,” and before you ask, it does not numb your feet or affect walking or balance anyway. Heels do that enough already so it’s good to know we don’t have another factor to worry about.
So, how does it work? Good question. Still Standing has “Eco-Distilled™ Certified Organic Arnica, Aloe and Ilex which are natural anti-inflammatory pain relievers.”
The spray is small enough to fit in your purse so you can apply is on the down-low and surprise everyone with your lack of complaining as you walk around all night in your heels.
Next big event I have I will be trying this, now to wait until demand dies down…thank’s Viola!
