It all started so well, in New York city where a sex columnist and her three friends explored labels and love. Then came the first movie, fans were over the moon and it lived up to our Big expectations. Then, came the sequel…and the prequel…and it all got a little like that time Carrie fell walking down the runway in nothing but sky high heels a long coat and sparkly underwear.
Of course we are ever optimistic, something we learnt from Charlotte, that if a third film were to grace our screens it would fill us with Manolo Blahnik leveled excitement.
Our dreams have however been crushed thanks to
Samantha Kim Cattrall, who told the UK’s Daily Record that she did not think a third movie would feel right.
“I think the climate changed,” she said. “To have four women talking about shopping trips and spending $400 on shoes when people are having trouble putting food on the table? It doesn’t mean we don’t need that, but I think the pendulum swung in a different direction.”
Kim, you and Samantha share a lot of wisdom! She might also be a little bitter after the last film, after all it was pretty much about endless spending and luxury …
Well, guess we will just head back to season one and celebrate Miranda’s thirty-something birthday.
