Nearly everyone I know dotes over gel manicures, their longevity, shine, ease and the infinite possibilities that come with nail art. Personally, I am a huge fan of the concept but that doesn’t cross over into reality. Yes they last two to three weeks, but they also destroy your nails and set you on a spiral of gel manicures to hide the damage.
Needless to say, when I came across a manicure that claimed to create long-lasting nails with exceptional durability and shine I was pretty excited.
Signature Nail Systems (SNS) manicures are ‘powder manicures’ that are odor free, damage free, strong, natural, glossy and healthy for your nail beds.
Want to know more? According to the SNS brand it is a “healthy solution in dipping powder systems…the powder consists of Organically processed chemicals of Benzoyl Peroxide, Titatum Dioxide, Acrylic Ester Polymer.”
The manicurist will apply a gel base, dip it in powder and apply gel top to finish. It is said to be healthier for your nails than normal gel as it does not need a UV light. Also, when it comes to taking it off your nails are not scratched and peeling, rather, the powder should slide off – goodbye damaged nails!
It is yet to make its way to New Zealand, but the American audience are already big fans.
