The Mills Reef Elspeth Cabernet Merlot 2013 has won multiple international awards and has received ‘5 Star’ adoration from many off the best wine critics. It is of little wonder since this is a beautiful Cabernet Merlot.
Grown in the prized Gimblett Gravels – some of the toughest growing conditions from low yielding vines on their Mere Road vineyard. Hand-picked, the wine has been produced through a complex method of cold soaking, plunging, pressing and then transferred to French (78%) and American (22%) Oak barrels with 40% new oak for 16 months of aging. Judiciously blended to deliver an exceptional Bordeaux style red.
Wine makers notes: This superior wine is medium to full bodies, bursting with notes of black fruit, plum, chocolate and cedar, on a bed of lovely refined tannins yielding a distinguished silky smooth wine.
These wine makers have spared no expense in delivering something of unmistakable quality. I loved this wine!
