Amal Clooney Isn’t Going To Wear Her NZD$1.04 Million Engagement Ring To Work Anymore

Amal Clooney has decided to stop wearing her £450,000 (equivalent to NZD$1.04 million) engagement ring to work anymore. George Clooney proposed to Amal with a nice, big, blindingly shiny 7-carat ring in April 2014.

She will now be saving that ring for out-of-work occasions and wear only her platinum wedding band to prevent her $1 million ring from detracting from her work as a human rights lawyer.

Poor Amal. But honestly, it probably doesn’t help in being taken seriously with her newfound celebrity status.

The Lebanese-British lawyer works for London law firm Doughty Street Chambers and has been involved in a series of high-profile cases in recent years

Although the 37-year-old has regularly worn the jewel while at work, it seems she's now looking for something a little more subtle to wear while at work
