Frances Cobain Married Her Father’s Doppelganger and Didn’t Invite Her Mum, Courtney Love

23-year-old Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, married her long-term boyfriend and her father’s doppelganger, Isiah Silvas, 30, at an intimate ceremony over the weekend.

They announced their engagement in 2011 and the pair wed in front of 15 guests. However, her mother was not at the ceremony.

Their mother-daughter relationship has been strained over the years when Love lost custody over Frances. In 2009, Frances applied for her grandmother Wendy O’Connor, and aunt, Kimberly Dawn Cobain to become her legal guardians and they were granted custody over her.

A source told the Mirror,

“Frances is totally loved up with Isaiah, but she’s never been one to broadcast it to the world.

“She only invited a close circle of friends to the party, and then phoned her mum afterwards to tell her the good news.”
