Going On-Trend with Republic Home

We talked to David Peez, owner of Republic Home and he’s given us some insights into keeping our interiors on-trend, as well as going into detail about the materials and finishes that are continuing to be popular throughout 2015.

We are seeing more natural finishes such as steel, copper, pewter and brass rather than chrome or stainless, continuing to grow in popularity in 2015.

“Organic materials and finishes showing a collection’s raw beauty has always been an on-going trend in Republic, which fits with our ethos of recycled, crafted and organic. Influences from nature are a growing trend and resonate in our store, from riverstone bowls, seagrass baskets, rattan placemats, cane light shades, animal hides, framed butterflies and hand carved buffalo skulls… and a stunningly rare range of natural coral pieces sustainably harvested from the Great Barrier Reef. We are seeing more natural finishes such as steel, copper, pewter and brass rather than chrome or stainless, continuing to grow in popularity in 2015.”
