The Lawson’s Dry Hills Chardonnay recently took on a new label. While Lawson’s have a worldwide reputation for their Gewurztraminer and huge recognition for their Pinot Noirs and Sauvignon Blancs, it is great to see production of such a lovely crisp Chardonnay from this region. Created from naturally low yielding Chaytors Rd vineyard, it ticks all the boxes and is a delightful Chardonnay, well balanced with a creamy finish and lovely citrus and stone fruit characteristics. Malolactic fermentation has kept the acidity in check while still retaining a crisp dry finish.
Serve it up with a lovely tuna pasta and you’ll have the perfect match.
