Louis Vuitton Brought Back An Unlikely Skirt from the 2000’s

Nicolas Ghesquière’s latest collection for Louis Vuitton was about the future – set in a Minecraft-inspired backdrop, the show exhibited multicolour leather jackets, mesh, silvery metallic appliques and graphic prints. However, in looking to the future, Ghesquière looked to the past, specifically the naughts to bring back the flouncy bubble skirt. The soft and playful addition to the tougher pieces to make it work together. It’s also asymmetric with uneven ruching and irregular hems.
