We all love chocolate – especially when it’s good for you.
This sweet treat is quick, easy and tasty! It’s a great recipe to whip up before you catch up with some friends or family. Riding the health buzz that seems to be trending these days, this recipe has no gluten, dairy or grains.
1 cup soaked dates
1/2 cup cashews, roughly chopped
2 cups shredded coconut
1 cup ground almonds
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup cacao or fair trade cocoa

Place all ingredients except the cashews in a blender and blend until well combined and all the dates are well blended.
Add the cashews and give it another quick pulse or two so they are just mixed through.
Line a 10 x 10 square tin with baking paper and pour in the mixture.
Spread evenly and place in fridge for an hour to set or in the freezer for 20-30 mins to harden slightly[/column] [/columns_row]
