ASUS ECOBOOK BAMBOO LAPTOP
With our increasing eco-awareness, the rise of biodegradable electronics becomes prevalent...
In a world where the majority of people seem to have their own laptop, the trend toward eco-consciousness seems to be disturbingly self-unaware.
But Asus have come to the table with their new Ecobook, an active addition to the environmentally-friendly product genre. The outer shell is made from entirely biodegradable materials, and all the plastic used in the notebook is environmentally-friendly recycled raw material, with numbers on to help with recycling when the owner is done with it. They’ve added an indicator to tell the user when they’re using too much power (it glows red – green when using less). It’s about as environmentally friendly as computer users can get – while still keeping with the Asus tradition of creating quality, usable products.
