EERO ETTALA SNOW BOARDER
Equally astounding in the park as in the back country...
Finnish rider Eero Ettal has made a name for himself among the world’s great snowboarders of today.
EERO ETTALA was born October 17, 1984 in Helsinki, Finland.
Equally astounding prowess in the park as in the backcountry, Finnish rider Eero Ettal has made a name for himself among the world’s great snowboarders of today. From X Games Gold to key parts in feature snowboard films his 12 years of professional snowboarding have been anything but ordinary.
In 2009 Eero added television star to his already illustrious resume with the launch of Tracking Eero, a snowboarding documentary series that followed him around the world for a season as he sought out exotic destinations with fellow Oakley team riders including Eiki Helgason, Kevin Pearce, Torstein Horgmo and Danny Kass to name just a few. Still riding the coattails of the success of Tracking Eero, Eero signed on for the third installment of Pablo film’s Euro Gap series just to further confirm Finland’s reputation for producing some of the world’s top snowboard talent.
“Oakley has one of the best teams in snowboarding, but I never even had a chance to ride with half of them…[‘Tracking Eero’] was a chance for all of us to learn from each other and experience different riding styles. This was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities that you are rarely given during your career.” – Eero Ettala
