GOOGLE STREET VIEW OFFERS POIGNANT VIEW OF TSUNAMI STRUCK JAPAN
Google Street View has digitally archived vast areas of tsunami-hit Japan.
This means that you can now take a virtual tour through the disaster zone, viewing what the area looked like before and after the tsunami - a sobering sight.
Google vehicles collected images across 44,000km of roads to form an accurate picture.
The project aims to document the damage and rebuilding effort, as well as providing the world with a true depiction of the devastation caused by the natural disaster.
