This is Chanel’s Surprising New Investment

Chanel Inc. is already the owner of two vineyards in France: Château Canon in Saint-Émilion and Château Rauzan-Ségla in Margaux. However as the Wertheimer family prefers to stay out of the limelight, the purchase was under the radar. Their latest purchase extends further into the wine industry – St. Supéry Vineyards and Winery.

The vineyard’s CEO told Wine Spectator that it was “Chanel’s interest in long-term growth and belief in the winery’s potential that drew Skalli to selling to the fashion house.”
