Los Angeles is home to a new workout routine which makes people pound up a sweat. It’s a cardio workout that focuses on Rhythm and the fun of pretending to be playing drums.
The workout was developed by two female drummers Kirsten and Cristina, and instead of drumsticks they use specially patented Ripstix® which are “lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising” which add 1/4 lb extra weight to each movement. Apparently you can even take them through airport security! YUS!
Classes take around 45 minutes and promise that you’ll be able to burng 900+ calories an hour and that “you’ll have completed up to 15,000 reps, performed over 30 extended interval peaks, and zipped through more than 70 techniques without even realizing it.”
To be honest, I’d rather do this than Zumba or Crossfit, it looks like a lot of fun.
