Everyone can agree that Kylie Jenner is arguably one of the most influential young women in the world. She’s also proven herself to be a very good businesswoman with her lipkits selling out in seconds and doing multiple collaborations with big companies. She’s decided to trademark “Kylie” whenever used in advertising services and the other Kylie is not pleased with this decision.
Jenner put in an application with the US Patent and Trademark Office last year but Kylie Minogue is trying to put a stop to this by filing “a notice of opposition” to Jenner’s application via KDB.
KDB claims that if Jenner’s application goes through, “Kylie is trademarked that will bring on confusion for both the celebrities and their brands.” KDB also claims that Minogue already owns the trademarks for “Kylie Minogue darling,” “Lucky – the Kylie Minogue musical” and “Kylie Minogue.” They also said that Jenner is a “secondary reality television personality.”
After Minogue filed her opposition, Jenner applied her trademark “Kylie” for entertainment usage.
