An unfaithful husband was taught a really good lesson – hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Upon returning from a business trip, Craig Arnolds came home to find the locks had changed and six “hippie” students chilling in his lounge. His wife, Laura, 42, had sold their house, packed her bags and had left his sorry ass.
Rookie mistake: Craig left his phone at home while he was in America. After discovering incriminating messages on Craig’s phone, Laura sold their property in Nuneaton. Within a fortnight, via sellhousefast.uk, the property was sold to students from the University of Warwick.
Laura told The Sunday Mercury: “Things are great between us at the moment. I could do it because my parents came up with the deposit for our home and when we struggled with the mortgage, they came in.”
To give him an extra kick in the balls, she included some of his stuff into the sale such as his inherited furniture from his father, a vintage radio and his golf clubs.
“She’d included my most prized possessions in the ‘fixtures and fittings’. I was gutted. I still can’t get my head around how she did this in the space of a two week holiday. Last time I marry an Italian, that’s for sure. I made a mistake and paid for it dearly. I was very annoyed at first but life is too short to dwell on these things. Who knows, maybe by getting this out of her system will allow us to build on the existing amicable relationship? What I would really like to say is a little more colourful than that so probably wont be printable.”
