Your man not quite himself in the bedroom lately? A new study claims to have found a remedy for low sex drive in males and according to researchers, this one could be a game changer. According to Popular Science, a new study has found that light therapy has a proven ability to do wonders when it comes to heating things up in the bedroom.
Researchers at the University of Siena in Italy enlisted 38 men with lack of interest in sex and divided them into two groups. One group was treated with 10,000 lux of white fluorescent light with an ultraviolet filter for 30 minutes every morning, while the other group was hit with a placebo.
After two weeks of light therapy the men who were treated under the bright light treatment reported feeling three times more sexual satisfaction than the men who had received the placebo. Researchers found that the light therapy lead to an increase on testosterone and generally made the men feel ‘in the mood’.
The study concluded that light therapy could be useful in replacing medicines that are traditionally used to treat low sex drive (such as anti-depressants). Also FYI, you can actually purchase a 10,000 lux lights on Amazon. Christmas present anyone?
