Recipe: Homemade Nutella Liqueur

This is the day you’ve been waiting for. Nutella is all grown up and can now officially be consumed in alcoholic form. No longer is your obsession with Nutella restricted to spreading the sweet hazelnut goodness on toast or eating it straight out of the jar – yes girl, we are looking at you for that one.

Nutella liqueur, called Nutellino in Italy, is perfect poured into shot glasses, made into a tasty cocktail or enjoyed as a cheeky after-dinner treat. Best of all it is ridiculously easy to make and this recipe from SheKnows only requires three basic ingredients. Yasssss!

o 1/2 cup shelf stable or ultra-pasteurised milk
o 1/4 cup Nutella
o 1/4 cup grain alcohol or 80 proof vodka

1. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm up the milk and then add the Nutella. Mix well until the Nutella completely melts. Let it cool.
2. Once the Nutella mixture has cooled down, mix in the alcohol.
3. Pour the Nutella liqueur into a dry, sterile bottle and seal.

This can be kept in the refrigerator for a maximum of 1 month.

P.s. Added bonus – Nutella is now available in super-cute limited edition smile jars! Even more reason to eat large quantities of Nutella.
