Move Over Kardashians, Apple Is Launching A Reality TV Show

Michael Jackson and Brooke Shields, Andre Agassi and Barbra Streisand – throughout history there have been an endless amount of odd matches that have fascinated us and left us wondering… WHY.

Perhaps the strangest pairing in recent history however is Apple and reality TV. Yes that Apple.

In a recent casting call, Apple revealed that they are planning to branch into the Kardashian-dominated world of reality television with a new reality show called ‘Planet of the Apps’.

The reality show that is described on its website as “a groundbreaking new series about apps and their creators,” will be focused around finding the next great app.

“Those selected will have the chance to receive hands-on guidance from some of the most influential experts in the tech community, featured placement on the App Store, and funding from top-tier VCs,” the website says.

The show is described as “a launch pad and accelerator for exceptional developers,” and promises to provide participants with mentoring, promotion and for the final tier of contestants, funding.

Winners of the show will receive the ultimate prize – featured placement on the App Store and venture capital funding.

It’s not clear if the show that will be filmed in late 2016 and early 2017 will make it to New Zealand television, however knowing Apple, I’m sure it’s not long before their unexpected venture into reality TV will achieve world domination.
