These Are The Biggest Celebrity Fashion Trends Of 2016

In the world of fast fashion it sometimes feels like there is a new trend every other day and to be honest, it can be damn hard to keep up with. On a mission to figure out what the biggest fashion trends of 2016 actually are, Google put together a comprehensive report on the most popular fashion trends of the year, as well as a guide to who was wearing them.

Taking out the top spots on the list, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner were named as the top fashion influencers of the year. So what were the looks that every woman and her dog has been googling? Here are the top three.

Bomber Jackets

According to the Google report,”in April, searches for bomber jackets grew 297% YoY in the U.K. and 612% YoY in the U.S.4.” Google also mentioned that there were clear trends in the kinds of bomber jackets that people were looking for. “People looked for more spring-ready colors and materials like satin, silk, pink, florals, and embroidery,” Google reported.

Off-the-shoulder dresses and tops

According to Google, smoking hot First Lady, Michelle Obama is the #1 trendsetter for 2016 who has paved the way for the off-the-shoulder trend. “The off-the-shoulder look has grown in both markets from December 2015 to May 2016—261% in the U.K. and 347% in the U.S. […] Search data shows that celebrities from Michelle Obama to Kendall Jenner helped popularise the look,” said Google.

According to Google, “jumpsuits, rompers (called playsuits in the U.K.), two-piece dresses, and co-ords are all one-stop styles on the rise.”
