Blake Lively Reveals The Two Foods She Cut Out To Get Her Bikini Bod For “The Shallows”

I watched The Shallows not too long ago and holy s**t – Blake Lively was the ultimate blonde beach babe with her smoking hot surfer girl body. To learn that she only had a baby 8 months before filming made my jaw drop. On the Kylie & Jackie O radio show, Lively revealed how she got into such perfect shape so soon after giving birth. “I’ve never been in that good of shape in my whole life so to do it [get that bikini body] after having a kid was actually really nice.”

“Because you see your body after having a kid, and it’s beautiful because you just gave birth but you also say, ‘oh my god, this is not what my body looked like.’ You feel like you’re never going to get your body back again. But you can! But that was what was encouraging about it!”

The key factor for her losing the baby weight was cutting two things out of her diet: soy and gluten, “I did no gluten and no soy. Which seems like ‘Oh, that’s really easy to cut that out,’ but you realize, there’s soy in everything, like, everything you eat, there is soy. And even if it’s healthy, Whole Foods, organic stuff, there’s always soy in it. So once you remove soy, you realize you’re eating just like, no processed foods.”

“I was still able to have sugar and all of those things. It’s all in moderation. You know, you just have a balance of protein, carbs, and vegetables. And it wasn’t the worst. Like, I was eating rice and sushi and you know but just no soy and no gluten. And watch how hard that is!”
