HOW-TO: Sultry Smokey Eye By Jane Iredale’s International Makeup Artist

Last week, I was humbled to model for Jane Iredale’s Masterclass and ad campaign while Natalie Soto-Carlisle, Jane Iredale’s International Makeup Artist and Global Educator, was in Auckland. I picked up some incredibly useful tips while Natalie was running the demo makeup on me. Going for a sultry smokey eye with a nude lip and slicked back hair, it’s a modern and edgy bridal look that can also work as your elegant and sleek party look.

Side Note: I often get disappointed with the final look when MUAs apply an entirely new face on me because I’m particular/fussy, but Natalie is the most outstanding makeup artist I have ever met. Although, the look was something new and different, I simply adored it and requested all the notes to share this with you!

Sultry Smokey Eye by Natalie Soto-Carlisle

Start by applying the Jane Iredale Smooth Affair Primer to prep skin with a Foundation brush, focusing on the T zone.

Smooth Affair Facial Primer Brightener $NZD99

 

 

Place two small dots of Glow Time BB cream and two small dots of Amber Liquid Minerals on a mixing palette and work together, then apply using the Foundation brush and blend with the Duo Fibre Blending brush.

Apply HD setting powder in Translucent focusing on the t-zone, followed by a light dusting of Jane Iredale Purepressed Base in Velvet to contour by framing the face at the hair line and underneath the cheek bones.
