Some of us have kissed plenty of frogs to find the perfect Prince; we have swiped our hearts out on Tinder, flirted up a storm at the bar and tried looking at all of our male friends in a different light to make sure they aren’t right under out nose.
Some of us will believe in ‘the one’, the person who will set your heart on fire and make you see clearly. Others think we have more than one person destined to be ours. Whatever side of the fence you sit on, experts think they know the age when you will find ‘the one’.
Match.com, the number one destination for online dating, did a survey and discovered the average age where people meet the one.
According to the survey, the average age for women is 25, while men are a little later, finding their true love at 28. Half off those surveyed found the one in their twenties. Seems the time to find the person to finish your sentences and clutter your bedroom is any time in your mid-twenties.
The study also found that it takes most people on average five months to say ‘I love you’, and two years to get engaged. While marriage and children pop up about three and four years into a relationship. Guess if you meet in your mid to late twenties this all fits nicely on a scale of where you want to be when you are 30…In a totally cliche kinda way!
Of course, if you are in your mid-twenties and single do not fret! Your Prince Charming is still out there and you don’t have to justify the fact that your ‘where you want to be when you are 30’ scale looks a little different to this.
