When I was younger I would cry after every single hair cut. They would always cut it too short and when I made the big step into dying my hair, well, that was a whole new chapter that I would rather forget. Hair is surprisingly important to many girls, and no matter your signature style you want to spice it up at the change of a season. Whether you like to get a cut, go lighter or simply break away from the top-knot, here are the new hairstyles you are going to see all over Instagram this coming season.
Eye length fringe
Jen Atkin, hair stylist to the celebs such as Khloe Kardashian, Jessica Alba, Katy Perry and Sofia Vergara, told Refinery 29 that the eye length fringe is going to be in, which is an ideal way to try something new without completely committing to something that will take forever to grow back. “I’m loving fringe that hits right at the eye,” she says. “It’s a great way to change up your look without having to take off a lot of length.” The best part about a longer fringe is that if you wake up one day and do not want to rep the bangs you can clip it to the side.
This is the news we have all been waiting for, our slightly frizzy, slightly curly hair is now on trend! Tresemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu told Refinery 29 “We don’t have time to fuss over blowing out our hair and fighting what it naturally wants to do.” The trick is to keep this in mind when you go to the hairdressers and get a hairstyle that is effortless and easy to maintain.
The side part is also back in a big way, so if you don’t have any bangs to manage you can sweep your hair to the side and secure it with one of the many ’90s style clips that are coming back in fashion. If you want to take it to the next level get out a little light weight wax or gel (just like you did at high school for the sleek pony).
