At the Grammys, Adele performed “All I Ask” and it definitely wasn’t as flawless as her other performances due to some serious audio issues. Adele told Ellen DeGeners, “I heard it straight away.” One of the microphones had fell into the piano and had been hitting the piano strings, making her look irritated, out of focus and singing a pitchy performance. “I knew where the mic was, and I wanted to turn around and lift it up, but I froze. But I actually felt like it went well. In the room, they actually sorted the problem, and I’m always a bit pitchy anyways.”
She tweeted to clarify as to what went wrong and that she’s going out to treat herself.
“I woke up the next morning to people in England being like, ‘We still love you, don’t worry,’ and I was like, ‘I didn’t ask you if you still loved me, but thanks.’ I was so embarrassed.”
Adele then “cried pretty much all day,” she said. “In fairness, I would have cried if it went really well as well…I always cry.”
“I don’t feel like it could go that much worse than the Grammys though. So I feel like I’m all right now. Anything that happens, dust it off!”
