“I’m in love with the Coco.” Yep, she definitely is.
Nicola Austen, a 37 year old grandmother, bought £300 worth of cocaine and a limousine as a birthday present for her daughter’s 18th birthday bash to “make sure she had a good time.”
According to the Daily Mail, She bought 12 bags of the class A drug to take with her daughter in London. However, Austen was arrested and tried in court after the drugs were found in her home. Hidden in a window sill compartment, 5.65 grams of cocaine was sniffed out during a raid on January 31.
Admitting to possessing cocaine with intent to supply, Austen avoided jail and was instead given a nine months of probation and 250 hours of “onerous” unpaid labour. As the drugs were not planned to be distributed widely, the judge gave Austen a lighter sentence.
She told the Daily Mail,
“It’s all been blown out of proportion. I’ve had enough. It isn’t exactly the scoop of the century, is it? It was a party.”
Austen has had six convictions, including one for possessing amphetamines. Due to her imprisonment being considered to have an adverse effect on her family, she has avoided jail.
