Slow Fashion Acler-ated

Minimalism is continuing to dominate the fashion world and has permeated most fast fashion chains. Pushing back against fast, generic design, Australian ready-to-wear brand, Acler, is perhaps the premier example of deliberate fashion. Co-designers Kathryn Forth and Julia Ritorto take design back to its “tactile roots”, drafting all their pieces over the course of 12 months. Their collections are clearly the product of intentional design combined with the effortless nature of draping to create flawless minimalism. The pops of fuchsia in their latest collection presented in their runway show at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2018, with the patterned fabrics and signature draping, is keeping Acler very much on the radar for the future.
