The Frocks and Fashion of Met Gala 2015

It’s one of the biggest celebrity fashion events of the year, rivaling Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party and drawing almost every name in the entertainment and fashion industries. The Costume Institute Gala, better known as Met Gala, has been a must attend event for the arty and famous since 1971, and its reputation continues to grow, with tickets for those outside the official guest list rising to $25,000 to ensure exclusivity.

An annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, one of the signature traits of Met Gala is its themes. Embracing such diverse motifs as Dance, Cubism and Fashion and Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy, attendees are perennially challenged to come up with creatively stylish takes on the annual theme. 2015 is the year of China: Through the Looking Glass – to see how the stars of screen and fashion interpreted this year’s theme, just scroll down.
