Top 5 Mindfulness Activities You Have To Try This Spring

Welcome to spring! The days are getting longer, the sun is getting brighter, and thankfully the weather is getting warmer. It’s the perfect time of year for a mental refresh, so we’ve compiled a list of our top 5 mindfulness activities you have to try this spring.

Clear out your habits, home, workplace, and garden:

Spent too much of the winter curled up, bingeing Netflix? Now’s the time to put some energy into shaking off the winter lethargy by giving all corners of your life a dusting. Clear off the paperwork from your desk, replant that veggie garden, do a wardrobe clean out, and put the TV remote down! Focus intently while doing these activities – what emotions rise out the actions?

Try a new spa therapy:

Group mindfulness:

Try gathering a group of friends and heading to a local native forest for a bush walk. Body scanning:

When you first wake up in the morning, try not picking up the phone and instead lay flat on your back and carry out a body scan. Start at your toes, squeezing them and feeling that motion in your body. Repeat that process all the way up to the crown of your head. This is a great way to feel out the different areas of your body, and to check in with yourself.

Set yourself some summer goals:

Now that the warmer months have arrived, it’s a great time to check in with yourself, your goals, and where you are at. Goal setting is a great way to re-evaluate what your needs are in the present moment with a future focus.
