Victoria, Victoria Beckham’s more contemporary sister brand, has released a 2015 Autumn Winter Lookbook that has everyone talking. Although the talk hasn’t so much centered around the styles as they have around the “heroin chic” poses of the model.
This season we worked with a photographer who has a particular, idiosyncratic style of photography
Half the photos feature a girl unconscious, with scattered coins nearby, giving off a 70s vibe with both the styles and the lighting of the shots.
“For the past four seasons, we have invited a photographer to interpret the Victoria, Victoria Beckham collection according to their own creative vision for our look book imagery,” the label said to ET. “This season we worked with a photographer who has a particular, idiosyncratic style of photography, to shoot the AW15 collection within this series.”
The photos taken by Colin Dodgson definitely make sense within his portfolio but are evocative and surprising when injected into a fashion line’s lookbook.[/column] [column][/column]
Of course, not all the photos in the lookbook feature semi-comatose models, and there are some genuinely interesting looks on display. After all, at the end of the day, isn’t good fashion more important than a few oddly posed models?
